The place is connected with a legend that is said to have happened in the \u0160\u00e1rka forest.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-eb0c352 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"eb0c352\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-9614d39\" data-id=\"9614d39\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ab58c9a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ab58c9a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It is a legend about a trick that a girl called Vlasta played on Ctirad, a hated Czech squire. Ctirad was sent by P\u0159emysl the Ploughman, the ancestor of the P\u0159emyslid dynasty whose members ruled the Lands of the Bohemian Crown from 873 to 1306, to a village called Kopanina to settle some neighbour disputes. While Ctirad and his company were passing through the \u0160\u00e1rka forest they heard a woman&#8217;s cry. Shortly they found &#8211; much to their surprise &#8211; a beautiful girl lying on the moss, her hands and feet tied. There were a hunting horn and a mead bottle next to her.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0877905 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0877905\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Ctirad freed the girl and asked her to tell him her story: \u201eMy father and I went to these woods to hunt today. I kept tracking the game for such a long time that I had lost sight of my father and he had lost sight of me. I took the hunting horn and hooted to call my father. No sooner had I finished hooting than a bunch of armed women charged towards me from the bushes, pulled me down from my saddle and tied me, threatening to bring me to D\u011bv\u00edn if I didn&#8217;t go voluntarily. When they suddenly heard the voices of you and your company they left quickly with my horse and left me here. Before you bring me to my father, can you, please, let me get some rest? And, please, help yourself to the mead here.\u201c<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f8e1ee8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f8e1ee8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Little did she have to encourage the men to do what she asked them to do. When they finished the intoxicating drink, \u0160\u00e1rka asked Ctirad to hoot the horn. This was a sign for Vlasta, the bad girl, and her companions to rush out of the bushes nearby. The gang killed all the men except Ctirad who was taken to D\u011bv\u00edn and, a day later, tortured to death before P\u0159emysl&#8217;s very eyes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d9d39aa elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d9d39aa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A legend has it that \u0160\u00e1rka eventually got seized by a pang conscience resulting from her treachearous behaviour in the past and decided to end her life by jumping from the highest hill in the area called <strong>D\u00edv\u010d\u00ed skok (A Girl&#8217;s Jump).<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The natural preserve Divok\u00e1 \u0160\u00e1rka, which is found close to B\u0159etislavka, has much more to offer than beautiful natural surroundings.
