One of the great ways of discovering the beauties of Prague, the city of a hundred spires, is climbing up one of its observation towers and enjoying perfect unobstructed views of the whole city and beyond. There are many towers to choose from\u00a0\u2013 the\u00a0Pet\u0159\u00edn Tower, the \u017di\u017ekov Television Tower, a\u00a0wooden observation tower in the Prague Zoo in Tr\u00f3ja, or the tower Cibulka in Prague-Ko\u0161\u00ed\u0159e.<\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Pet\u0159\u00edn Tower\n<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Discover Prague in a slightly different way \u2013 by looking at it from the top of an observation tower. Soaring to a height of 65.5 metres,\u00a0the Pet\u0159\u00edn Tower<\/strong>\u00a0is one of the places which offer wonderful panoramic views. Take a walk across a well-kept park nearby and then climb to the top. If you\u2019re lucky and the weather permits, you may see as far as the Krkono\u0161e mountains in the very north of the country.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The \u017di\u017ekov Television Tower\n<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Located on the border between the Prague districts of \u017di\u017ekov and Vinohrady, this tower is the highest building in Prague, offering its visitors unforgettable views of the red-roofed city of Prague. One of the significant features of the tower are its \u201cbabies\u201d \u2013 small statues of toddlers climbing up and down its walls. The building used to be seen by many as rather controversial because an ancient Jewish cemetery had to be destroyed to provide room for it. However, emotions have gradually cooled down and nowadays the construction is widely accepted and considered one of the symbols of the city.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Obora \u2013 an observation tower in the Prague Zoo\n<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The wooden observation tower Obora, which is located in the Prague Zoo, offers tremendous views of Prague, particularly the Prague Castle. Made of spruce wood and soaring to a height of 18.5 meters, the tower was opened in 2009 and it took four months to build it. Take a relaxed walk through the premises of the zoo and enjoy lovely views of the Vltava River and the valley.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Cibulka, an observation tower suited for romantic souls\n<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The oldest observation tower in Prague, Cibulka,<\/strong>\u00a0offers unique views of the Prague districts of Motol, \u0158epy and Strahov. The tower, which\u00a0is found in an eponymous park, is 13 metres high and constitutes a part of artificial ruins built in the early 19th century in Ko\u0161\u00ed\u0159e, a part of what is now Prague 5.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
