Before he designed the chateau, Jean Baptiste Mathey, a\u00a0French architect, had stayed in\u00a0Italy and had clearly been influenced by Italian architecture. That is why Tr\u00f3ja chateau resembles mansions on the outskirts of Rome. The magnificent building is surrounded by a<strong>\u00a0unique terraced French-style garden<\/strong>. By visiting the chateau you can get a taste of what it was like to live like an aristocrat in the late 17th century. There are a number of tastefully kept paths that lead between marvellous fountains and rare vases and sculptures. Make sure, though, you don\u2019t get lost in the chateau\u2019s\u00a0<strong>unique maze<\/strong>\u00a0while discovering the rear part of its\u00a0parterre. The\u00a0<strong>circular labyrinth<\/strong>\u00a0is made of well-kept hornbeam complemented by fruit trees.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2696411 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2696411\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>During the summer season (April-November) the chateau is open every day except Monday. The gardens are accessible free of charge while a ticket to the chateau costs CZK 120. You can also order a tour guide at the price of CZK 20 for the Czech language and CZK 40 for a foreign language.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1859617 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1859617\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The chateau lies adjacent to the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bretislavka.cz\/en\/2017\/07\/12\/visit-the-prague-zoo-it-takes-under-30-minutes-to-get-there-from-bretislavka\/\">Prague Zoo<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>The shortest way to get there from the B\u0159etislavka Residence is to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bretislavka.cz\/en\/2017\/05\/12\/cross-the-river-vltava-on-board-a-ferry-a-journey-across-the-river-takes-about-3-minutes\/\">take a ferry<\/a>\u00a0across the Vltava River<\/strong>. views of the surrounding\u00a0<strong>vineyard and St. Anne\u2019s Chapel<\/strong>. We definitely recommend you visit the chapel because the views it offers of the chateau, the labyrinth and the surroundings are even more captivating! Even if you\u2019re not a wine enthusiast we also recommend taking a walk up a hill along lines of sweet-smelling vine. It\u00a0was first planted by Charles IV.
